Soon, we’ll be hearing the sounds of snow blowers clearing drives and walkways for the daily commutes to work and school. Make sure your snow blower is ready when you need it by performing some simple maintenance before its first use of the year. We highly recommend an oil and filter change – it’s the surest way to ensure that the lifeblood of your engine is tip-top. If you didn’t add fuel stabilizer to your fuel tank last year, drain the fuel safely and add fresh fuel. Here are some other maintenance checklist items: Service and charge the battery • Lubricate cables • Grease as required • Make sure all fasteners are secured • Check tire pressure or track tension • Lubricate external moving parts as necessary • Inspect discharge chute for obstructions • Inspect choke function • Clean or replace the spark plug. Steadman’s carries Honda Snow Blowers and Toro Snow Blowers.
